When employee registers at the time clock, Midex Time Control can automatically apply rounding rules.  In addition, you need to specify a few other options which will help MTC properly pair registrations.

Registrations

Rounding
When employee clocks in, Midex Time Control can round this time to the nearest time interval you specify
1

Round to X minutes

You can specify if you do not want to round at all or to nearest 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes.

When you choose one of the time intervals except for 0, you need to tell the system how you want to apply rounding.  For example, if we choose to round to 15 minutes and employee clocks in at 9:07am, system need to know to round this time to 9:00 or 9:15.  You can specify 2 different rules for clocking in and out
2

IN and OUT Sliders

Identifies the border for rounding.  If employee clocks in before the slider, then the registration will be rounded to the beginning of the rounding period, otherwise it will be adjusted to the end of the rounding period.

Break Deduction
Lunch break can be automatically deducted instead of having employees to punch out for lunch
3

Break Deduction (min)

Number of minutes that should be deducted from employee’s total working hours per day.
4

Min. working hours for break deduction

Minimum number of hours an employee has to work in one day in order for the break to be deducted
Example: If employee works from 9:00am to 5:00pm and there is a 30 minutes break deduction, then the system will calculate 8 actual hours worked minus 30 minute for break, therefore employee will only get paid for 7:30 hours.
5

Deduct Lunch

Default setting if we want to deduct lunch.  If you are not using shifts, then lunch will be deducted or not as per this settings.  If you are using Shifts, then you will be able to change this setting inside each shift.

Registration Locking
You can lock registration restricting any user to make any changes to the registrations before specific date.
6

Lock date of registration

All registrations before this date are locked and cannot be modified.  This is value is adjusted after payroll is complete so that no one can change employees’ registrations.

Web Time Clock
Midex Time Control comes with a Web Time Clock module.  This is an online virtual time clock that allows employees using a web site instead of Time Clock device.  In order for employees to be able to use this module, you need to enable it.
7

Web Punch Clock Enabled

Enables employees of this company to use online Web Punch Clock module.  In addition to enabling this at the company level, individual employee has to be given permissions to use the Web Punch Clock and assigned a password.

Intervals
8

Min. time interval between registrations

Minimum time that has to pass between registrations for it to count.  Sometimes, employees tend to clock in or out twice.

Example: If an employee clocks in at 9:02am and then clocks in again at 9:03am, there has only 1 minute passed from the first registration.  Since minimum interval between registrations is 2 minutes, second registration will be ignored.
9

Max. time interval between registrations

Maximum time has to pass between 2 registrations for them to be paired.

Example: If an employee clocks at 9:00am and clocks again at 11pm next day. It has passed 14 hours between 2 registrations.  These 2 registrations will paired up meaning employee worked from 9 am to 11pm, for 14 hours straight.  In another example, employee clocks at 9am and clocks again at 7am next day.  It has been 22 hours between registrations.  Since 22 is greater than 16, these 2 registrations would not be paired up.  Meaning, that employee came to work at 9am, forgot to punch out and then came back to work the next day at 7am.
